Custom? No Problem!
Table mounted twin MaxxMagnum chucks on a 450x225 common plate with integrated pneumatic system .
In this project our customer requested the ability to run twin MaxxMagnum chucks as individual chucks but with the ability to machine much larger or ganged up workpieces on a universal pallet.
WIDE RANGE VERSATILITY
In the set up the client can machine with 54mm, 70mm, 75Ø, 142Ø pallets, using our custom 420x180 Aluminum pallet with 2 hardened MaxxMagnum reference elements (custom pattern added to pallet as per clients individual needs)
We were also able to create some custom universal mounting pallets on another project using this twin chuck configuration.
To meet this requirement, you could consider designing a custom pallet that is compatible with your MaxxMagnum chucks and can accommodate larger or ganged up workpieces. The pallet should be designed to allow the twin chucks to operate as individual chucks, while also providing the necessary stability and rigidity to ensure repeatability and accuracy.
One approach could be to design a pallet with a series of grooves or slots that allow the workpieces to be positioned and clamped in place using your MaxxMagnum chucks. The pallet could also have built-in stops or reference points to ensure precise positioning and repeatability. This would enable your customer to easily load and unload workpieces from the pallet, while also allowing them to use the full capabilities of your MaxxMagnum system.
Another approach could be to design a modular pallet system that allows your customer to quickly and easily swap out different pallets for different types of workpieces. This would provide even more flexibility and allow them to efficiently switch between different parts and production runs.
Overall, the key is to work closely with your customer to understand their specific needs and requirements and to design a solution that meets those needs while also leveraging the capabilities of your MaxxMagnum system.
